My School Day

Update: This post has a world record of being the longest post on Sam’s Random Blog.
Hello people.
Our first lesson at school was P.E. I couldn’t do it because I am still recovering from a cough. So we did basketball, and I would of loved to do basketball rather than stand and watch. It’s in my top 3 favorite sports, along with football (soccer) and tennis. So the matches were fun to watch, and my friend got picked out because he was “outstanding with his lay off shots”. It has been an ambition of mine to reach the basketball team, but I have missed about 3 Basketball clubs, due to my illness.
Moving on from P.E, next was music. For the whole lesson we were listening to the recordings of music by different groups, and then deciding on what grade they should get. Our groups was good, but I wasn’t there when they were actually recording, once again die to my illness. That meant my friend, the same one as in basketball, had to take my part. In music I got a 4C. It would of been a 4B, but I wasn’t in when we actually did the recordings.

Our third lesson of the day was German. We had to learn numbers up to 31. We already knew up to 12, but I wasn’t in when we started learning 12-31 which made it harder, but once you get to know them they are quite easy. So I can tell I got at least 8/10 on the test, probably more. Anyway, for once, German was quite fun. We played Halloween games, listened to a Halloween story in German (which we didn’t understand, so our teacher told us what was happening), learnt stuff to do with Halloween in German, and did a word search to do with Halloween (you got it, in German). That’s arguably the best lesson of the day ended.
Next up is English. It is really the lesson for you if you want work combined with fun. We had to do some sort of non fiction thing, poster, story, advertisement etc about the “Babel Fish”. I did a poster. There is a professional footballer called Ryan Babel, and I was going to put for the slogan: Better than the footballer! but I didn’t. English went quite quickly, and for the final 10 minutes, we played a word game. It’s a little to complicated to tell you about, but it was fun
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Dinner Break =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
After dinner it was “Form Time”. It’s basically where you get together in your form, and our form teacher will tell us announcements/notices, or if there’s nothing, let us talk quietly. Today there was nothing for us, so we had to sit quietly while she told us more about “Theme Day”. Form time lasts 20 minutes, and then it’s time for our final lesson, Life Skills.
Life Skills is basically about debate and having your own opinion. That also went quite quickly, and the lesson was also fun. We were talking about what rights children should have, and we talked about it in fours. It ended up as children being able to drive their own cars, in a separate lane, and Having a water lane, where you can ride your own Paddle Boat xD Well the teacher let us have “a bit” of fun, so life skills went down well.
Also, today is a very special school day, because, for the first time ever in 2 months, we have NO HOMEWORK
but I still have some left over from Tuesday

Trick Or Treat? Post 1
Published 21/10/2009 Trick Or Treat? Leave a CommentTags: halloween, sam, Sams random blog, Trick Or Treat?

Hello
Well today we start our ‘Trick Or Treat?’ posts. This will be every 2 days and will lead up to a ‘Trick Or Treat? Halloween special’ it’s basically about Halloween and stuff to do with it, and linking me with it. So here we get started with our first post.
In the early ages of Halloween Trick or Treat used to be giving a treat or getting eggs thrown at your windows. Small children walking around in scary costumes of Ghosts, witches, Frankensteins etc. I have never been allowed to go Trick or Treating because my mum thinks it’s “wrong”. In a way, it is wrong, because it is basically asking people for candy late at night. You could knock on an old ladies door while she’s in the middle of a sleep, wake her up, and ask her for candy. Now, that is wrong.
But in a different way, it isn’t wrong. People know about Halloween. They should be ready to open the door in their Halloween spirit, in their scary costume. I mean, surely it doesn’t cost that much buying a small bag of candy? So that’s the reason why Trick Or Treating isn’t wrong.
I won’t be Trick or Treating on Halloween, because I won’t be allowed. But I’ll be able to keep you up to date with everything that is happening.

Theme Day And Secondary School
Published 20/10/2009 Random Leave a CommentTags: big move, firefox, high schoo, sam, Sams random blog, Secondary school
This post would of been about all my lessons today in school in a lot of detail. But Firefox crashed on me for about the 10th time today
Year 7 (1st year in secondary school) theme day is where you have no lessons, and have a theme in your form. You will represent what this theme is. Last year was famous cities. This year will be moving on from junior school through to secondary school. It is a task I have completed as I am now in my first year of secondary school. I would advise you not to worry if you haven’t yet moved up. At first I felt worried and that it was going to be hard, but as time went on it gradually got better. You should enjoy your summer holiday to the max, and be getting ready for the big move.
On your first day of secondary school, you will be put into your forms/groups with a teacher, who will tell you all about secondary school. I have 5 lessons a day, but on my first day I only had 3, because for the first 2 lessons (2 hours) our teacher was telling us all about secondary school. It is more fun than primary school, and you have more responsibility. You might have lockers, and you will need to remember to bring in things, as you may only be let off once, and then it is detention.
Now on to the negatives. Everyone says all the teachers are nice and kind. But the truth is they may be kind on your first few lessons, but you have to show them what a good person you are to gain their kindness. You can also unfortunately get teachers who are not kind no matter what, but that is something you just have to cope with. For me, starting secondary school was just like starting this blog, but harder. When you start off you don’t know what you’re doing, but after a while you gradually learn more and more until you’re fully confident.
Our science teacher is one of those who is kind, but can shout and can be mean. It’s not your fault though; she will either shout at the class, for being bad together, or shout at someone individually, and after that, she can end up being mean for the whole lesson. That’s not her fault though. It is the fault of the class or person that put her in a bad mood. There are things in school that you just have to cope with.
Homework. The average homework for me is 3 a day, except for a Wednesday where I will get one or two. This averages to about 13 pieces of homework a week. It’s a thing people who are in their last year of junior school think “What? We only get 2 a week, how do we cope with all this?” Well it’s not a thing to worry about, because you will get used to it. And if you do struggle with homework, just get a parent to speak to a treache.
Before I end this post off, and begin a special Halloween post, I’d just like to say a special thanks to someone: Me, for gaining the record of my longest post ever written.

Garden Party World

Hey guys and other alien type creatures!
Well recently I’ve been playing a game called Garden Party World. It’s like Club Penguin but defiantly not as popular. There is membership which costs the same as club penguin, but there’s contests and stuff like that. There’s also gardener of the month, which you can nominate yourself to, and if you win you get to wear the hat moderators wear (I think). It’s a pretty cool game, and if you decide to sign up for it, I’m called 19sam19. My backup account is called Sausage, which I could use in a contest some time soon
. I’m also thinking of having a Halloween party on GPW soon, but it won’t be on the day, because you might be trick or treating. I will be having a Halloween party though, on GPW, Club Penguin, Planet Cazmo, or Chobots. The new header is also Halloween-ish. Comment if you like it
I think it sorta goes with the new theme. It’s called K2-lite d:

Hello, welcome to Mobile Phones Weekly. This is where a review a mobile phone every week. The mobile phone we will start off with is the Samsung Jet.
The Samsung Jet is one of the latest touch screen phones, and has became hugely popular.
Design
To be a good phone it has to have a good design. The Samsung Jet’s design is great for a touch screen phone. Samsung are the phones to pick for design, and they’ve shown why on alot of their models. The Samsung Jet has the Samsung logo at the top, and at the bottom below the touchscreen, is the ON/OFF button, the call button and the hang up button. You can’t take alot of design out of touch screen phones, because the screen takes up most space.
